My Mother and Father were both born in the town of Willie. My Mothers parents were Frank and Minnie Purcell, and my Dads parents were William and Mary Bacon. Dad had 12 Brothers and 1 Sister, Mom had 1 Brother and 3 sisters. They are all gone now, but they left me with great stories about Willie. That was a great time and place to grow up. there is a great book about Willie that they passed down to me. It is called The Willie Community, printed by the Tattnall Journal in Reidsville, Ga. I went to the Willie reunion in 1961 and had a grand time. I am trying to arrange a trip to Willie this summer and visit both old home places. Dads is directly across from the Cemetary where his Mom ans Dad are buried. See you soon.

I'm intrested in joining the Masonry. I have looked at the calender and do not see any dates and times for the meetings. If I can get some information about times of meetings, I would be happy to attend. The only problems there could be the times. I dont really know what time I get off until 30min or so prior. I have been trying to contact the Lodge for several weeks and have my letters returned. This morning I thought about the internet and here I am. I was initiated in the Hinesville Lodge in December 1966 and later received my Fellowcraft and was raised in Augusta at Flemming Lodge as courtsey work. What I needed to inquire about was the status of my Lamb Skin Apron. It was retained in the Hinesville Lodge where I took and passed my Entered Apprentence Degree prior to departing for my first tour of duty in Viet Nam. This is the reason I eventually demitted to Flemming Lodge in August. I have since demitted to my present Lodge in Coulmbia, South Carolina where I presently am the Senior Decon. I am also very active in the Scottish Rite and a thirty year member of the Eastern star in Alice Warren Chapter 483 in Augusta.

If there is some means of locating my Lamb Skin Apron, I would certainly appreciate having it mailed to my home address at 77 Olde Springs, Road, Columbia, South Carolina 29223. I will be pleased to cover any shipping costs.

I have very fond memories of our Lodge located on the second floor, down town. Brothers Anthony (my coach and a superb Mason) and Brother George Parks. I am not sure of their status at this time but trust they are well in our presence or with the Supereme Grand Master doing his will.

I was the Chaplin in Hinesvill, I beleive it was in 1979 or there abouts. It was nice to see the website and the pictures. I did recognize Don Peller. I hope to get back there and see you folks in a year or so.
